Job Description: Worship Leader

We are seeking a disciple of Christ who will be responsible for guiding a congregation in meaningful and authentic expressions of worship, through music and prayer. This role requires a combination of musical talent, spiritual maturity, and strong leadership skills to lead the praise team and create an engaging environment that aligns with the church’s vision.

Core Responsibilities & Duties
•Planning Services: Develop, select, and arrange worship music, that align with the sermon message and church vision.
•Leading Worship: Facilitate congregational singing, lead rehearsals, and direct the praise team.
•Team Development: Recruit, train, and mentor volunteer musicians and vocalists.
•Spiritual Leadership: Model a servant's heart, fostering an environment for genuine connection with God.
•Administration: Attend Committee meetings such as SPRC Worship Committee and Fellowship Committee.
•Collaboration: Work closely with pastor to create a cohesive worship atmosphere.

Qualifications & Skills
•Spiritual Maturity: Active Christian faith.
•Musical Ability: Proficiency in guitar or piano, strong vocals, and knowledge of music management.
•Leadership/Interpersonal Skills: Ability to encourage the praise team, lead rehearsals, and foster a faith family atmosphere.
•Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with soundboards and multimedia equipment.
•Experience:  Living a life of faith and experience leading others in worship.

Details
  • This is a part time position with an expectation of approximately 10 hours per week.
  • The hourly salary would be $25/hour
  • Weekly Services: Wednesdays: 6:30pm to 7:30pm, Sundays: 10am to 12:30pm , Special Services throughout the year (i.e. Ash Wednesday, Holy Week, Christmas Eve, etc.)
